Duoplane Retailer accounts
Available on all plans
In this guide we will show you how to use the official WooCommerce shipment tracking plugin in conjunction with Duoplane to complete orders in your store once fulfillment information is shared with Duoplane.
Limitations
If you are using the WooCommerce integration with Duoplane and have completed some shipments, you may notice that Duoplane will send a note on the order that includes the carrier and tracking number, rather than marking the order as 'shipped'. This is because WooCommerce does not have a 'shipped' status or tracking field to input a tracking number.
About WooCommerce's official plugin
One thing you can do is use WooCommerce's official shipment tracking plugin which allows a field for carrier, tracking number and shipment date. The plugin and its documentation can be found here from WooCommerce >> woocommerce.com/products/shipment-tracking
When using the plugin, Duoplane will check for it automatically when sending tracking information, and update that information using the plugin rather than creating an order note with the tracking.
Notify customers of shipments via email
WooCommerce will send shipment email confirmations with tracking to your customer when, and only when, the order is marked as 'completed'. When Duoplane sends shipment information to your WooCommerce store for an order, it will only mark the shipment as 'completed' if all items on the order are shipped, so this will be done automatically.
